B8505 - Special Topic: Project Management for Creative Driven Communications (Session 2 of 3)

This intensive four-session, one-credit course will examine how to manage multi- faceted communications projects that include conceptual thinking and are heavily driven by a design process. It will also explore how to work with creative people within an agency, as well as with a wide range of providers—from design agencies to product designers, film directors, image consultants and PR professionals.And in a majority-minority U.S., what is the future of culturally-based marketing/advertising?
Professor Gabriella Mirensky 
Gabriela is the Awards and Design Director of The One Club. She heads the Design initiatives at The One Club. Her past clients include The One Club, Kustura Technologies and DDunn & Associates. She served for 13 years as the Director of Competitions and Exhibitions at AIGA.

Gabriela teaches at the Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico, at the School of Visual Arts; serves as a guest critic in the Exhibition Design Graduate Program at FIT, and judges design competitions in the US and Mexico. She is also on the board of directors at MUMEDI, Mexico City’s first design museum. Gabriela earned her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and her master’s degree in Printmaking at CCNY. She is an alumna of the Arts Leadership Institute at Columbia University and Harvard University and AIGA’s joint “Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders” program.
