Management / Planning + PR Tracks

Application requirements for

Applicants interested in the Management / Planning and Public Relations specializations at BIC must include:

  • Completed online application
  • Resume
  • College transcript that demonstrates strong competency in the major area with evidence of serious academic intent and a 3.0 GPA (or equivalent) as well as completion of prerequisite coursework in statistics. Note: the statistics prerequisite may be completed after acceptance into the program.
  • Statement of purpose (500 words) that addresses the candidates’ interest in studying Branding + Integrated Communications at City College
  • Applicants must submit two samples of writing (academic papers, capstone projects, research analyses, etc.) and/or professional work that give dimension to their candidacy. A third sample must be a “passion project” in a format of their choice. Please label this submission “Passion Project.” 
  • Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation. The letters of recommendation should come from persons familiar with the applicant’s intellectual and design abilities
  • For international students who did not get their college degree in English: TOEFL score of 90 or higher to prove English-language proficiency 

*It is preferred that BIC students have some professional experience. Applicants who are new grads will be evaluated more favorably if they demonstrate evidence of rigorous internships during their undergraduate years.
