Brian is an expert in helping challenger brands manage change, innovate and disrupt their way to new growth.
He first gained a passion for working with challenger brands at legendary agencies like Hal Riney & Partners and TBWA, on brands like Saturn, Sprint and Jameson Irish Whiskey. As Brian likes to say... "Because you can’t spend your way out of problems – you have to be more strategic, more nimble, more comfortable with change than the bigger, more established, deeper-pocketed competitors you need to beat."
He helped Saturn launch its first new model since the brand’s launch, he helped Sprint outperform Verizon and AT&T and helpedJameson Irish Whiskey begin growth journey that still hasn't slowed down.
Brian has also worked with startups, turnarounds and non-profits leading to even greater impact. Brian drove the strategy that helped Sobieski Vodka launch into the crowded Vodka category and reach 1M cases/year faster than any spirits brand in history. He transformed brand development and strategy at ed-tech startup Wireless Generation which contributed to a $360M acquisition. He led marketing efforts for Brugal Rum while driving 47% growth for the brand. Engineered the reversal of a 10-year attendance decline for the world’s largest urban zoo in year one, and helped the NY Hall of Science not only survive 15 months of COVID closure but exceed every business performance KPI when we reopened.
