Discipline Depth. Integrated Mindset.

ONE vision. FOUR tracks. MANY perspectives. Uniquely BIC.

The BIC Master of Professional Studies (MPS) combines theory and practice in an interdisciplinary, multi-tracked curriculum that addresses the expanding opportunities and needs of marketing communications industries on behalf of both private and not-for-profit organizations. It is a 36-credit, two-year program that is portfolio-based.All courses, held in the late afternoons and evenings, are taught by professors and active professionals with high-level industry experience.

BIC graduates "T" shaped professionals: INTEGRATED PEOPLE for an INTEGRATED WORLD.

In addition to learning shared foundational and applied knowledge, BIC students drill down in one of FOUR AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION:

CREATIVE:
conceptual thinking | storytelling, cross-platform | experiential execution | content creation

MANAGEMENT / BRAND STRATEGY:
research + measurement | insight mining + strategy | relationship cultivation | business building | organizational optimization

MEDIA:
comms planning | activation, programmatic | data ethics, analytics + measurement | martech | SEO/SEM

PUBLIC RELATIONS:
corp communications | sponsored content | campaign development | brand leadership | influencer marketing

The four tracks consist of 10-12 students each, with 30-36 students in the entire class. Because of the collaborative support of faculty, staff, and fellow students, nearly all BICsters who start in the program will graduate with their MPS degree.

Evidence of Mastery: The BIC Discipline Portfolio.

Because of the growing importance of presentation and visualization in the communications field, all students are required to defend a Senior Thesis in the form of a digital portfolio, which must be presented to a panel of industry professionals after completing their required capstone practicums. Each portfolio demonstrates discipline depth in an integrated framework.
