Management/Brand Strategy, PR, + Media Tracks
Applicants interested in the MANAGEMENT/BRAND STRATEGY, PUBLIC RELATIONS, or MEDIA specializations at BIC must include:
- Completed online application
- Resume
- College transcript that demonstrates strong competency in the major area with evidence of serious academic intent and a 3.0 GPA (or equivalent). Prior coursework in statistics may be especially applicable for management and planning tracks
- Statement of purpose (500 words) that addresses the candidates’ interest in studying Branding + Integrated Communications at City College
- Applicants must submit two samples of writing (academic papers, capstone projects, research analyses, etc.) and/or professional work that give dimension to their candidacy. A third sample must be a “passion project” in a format of their choice. Please label this submission “Passion Project.”
- Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation. The letters of recommendation should come from persons familiar with the applicant’s intellectual and design abilities
- For international students who did not get their college degree in English: TOEFL score of 90 or higher to prove English-language proficiency
*It is preferred that BIC students have some professional experience. Applicants who are new grads will be evaluated more favorably if they demonstrate evidence of rigorous internships during their undergraduate years.
