On September 21st, BIC alums Mayce Barker and Sekayi Williams ’23 were among the trendsetting panelists at the recent Cassandra Sessions event That’s So Aesthetic: The Gen Z Vibe & Its Reverberation in the Market, based on its newly published report "That’s So Aesthetic” which does a deep dive into the reframing of aesthetics from an idea to a metaphorical place. This exclusive event at the Standard Biergarten in NYC welcomed industry leaders and youth experts who discussed how the word “aesthetic” has become a part of every Gen Z’s vocabulary with such quick prominence that Gen Zs have taken ownership of the word and are reshaping it to fit their needs better, whether to create a style, develop a vibe, or capture a mood. In addition to the panel featuring Mayce and Sekayi, the event showcased keynote speaker Alex Center, Founder & Creative Director of the award-winning branding studio CENTER, and a fireside chat with Bethany Braun-Silva, host of "The Breakdown With Bethany” podcast.
