Katina takes the helm as BIC navigates a transition.

MCA is proud to announce the appointment of Katina Scott as BIC’s Interim Program Director. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the BIC community.

Katina's involvement with the BIC program dates back to the fall of 2017, when she quickly became an indispensable member of our faculty. She has made many contributions - from providing strategic support for the Competition Ready class to teaching pivotal courses like the Non-Profit Capstone and PR Portfolio Thesis. Her dedication and passion for the BIC  program is evident, and her willingness to step into this leadership role during a transitional period speaks volumes about her commitment to BIC students, faculty, and staff.

Beyond her role within the BIC program, Katina is a force to be reckoned with in the industry. As the Founding Partner and Head of IPA (Insights, Planning, and Analytics) at Absolute Magnitude, she brings a wealth of real-world experience to the table. A graduate of VCU BrandCenter, Katina's impressive track record includes prestigious awards, such as the Sabre Award for Superior Achievement in Brand-Building, an APG Award, and a Cannes Silver Lion for Best Integrated Campaign. Her expertise and accomplishments are a testament to her prowess in the field and further solidify her as a standout leader within our program.

But Katina is more than just a professional powerhouse - she's also a beloved member of our community and a cat mom to Merlin and Leo- two spirited black kittens.

Katina is excited to join the BIC team in a new way. She says, "I am honored to continue being of service to the BIC program in this new role. The students, alumni, faculty, and staff are amazing and their energy keeps the program vibrant."

We wish Katina well as she leans into her new role as BIC Interim Program Director with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the future.

Brava and Welcome, Katina!
