Global Chief Culture Officer at MediaBrands will be joining the BIC Board of industry leaders.
Let’s give a warm welcome to Hermon Ghermay, Global Chief Culture Officer at MediaBrands, who will be joining the BIC Board this Fall. Hermon was instrumental in bringing the BIC Media Impact Compact to life, helping to unite six media companies and non-profit We All Rise Together (weallrisetogether.us) in a common cause to increase diverse leadership and inspire new vision in the industry.
Since launching in 2013, BIC has been supported by a stellar Board full of industry dynamos, action s/heros and icons. We are beyond thrilled to add Hermon to this distinguished collection of thought leaders, movers, and shakers.
ABOUT HERMON GHERMAY
Hermon is Global Chief Culture Officer at MediaBrands where she is responsible for helping to create a more inclusive culture through key initiatives and collaborations that bring together Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Learning and Leadership Development and Talent Analytics to ensure that people feel heard, seen, and supported.
An Eritrean immigrant and Harvard graduate, Hermon is an accomplished leader and industry advisor, with a career that spans agency leadership, executive recruiting, and consulting. She spent the majority of her career leading integrated client teams at agencies with some of the most distinct and compelling cultures in our industry, notably Leo Burnett, Deutsch LA, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. As an executive recruiter, Hermon had the privilege to get to know, learn from, and guide, some of the most talented leaders in marketing and communications.
Hermon is a Third Culture Kid and her nomadic upbringing has shaped her identity and perspective. Her curiosity, love of languages and cultures, a great story, her community, and her 3-year-old daughter Zemirah, who teaches her so much every day, are the things that light her up.
ABOUT THE BIC BOARD
The BIC Board and Board of Advisors is made up of industry leaders who seek to advance and support BIC as an innovative graduate program that not only launches new cross-disciplinary thinkers and multi-cultural leaders into communications fields, but will help re-image our industry and its impact on society. Some BIC Board members have taught BIC courses, guest lectured, critiqued, assisted with syllabi development and overall been a guiding hand to the BIC program. Their support, along with their organizations, is a testament to the strategic direction of BIC in preparing the next generation of integrated communication professionals ready to change the world.
