A Plentiful Year >> BICsters Rising

By BIC CCNY Posted on 11/23/2022 13:14

Giving thanks for all our BICsters moving up in their careers this year.

As the year comes to a close, BIC looks back and gives thanks for all the amazing accomplishments of BIC Alumni this year!

Alex Rhoden, BIC ‘21, started a new position as Manager, Leadership Development & Retention at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) after searching for the perfect merge of her love for education, DEI, public relations, branding, and community development. Alex is working toward giving D.C. families the educational system they deserve from the pool deck, to the classroom, to central administration.

This past May, Dalis Galvez (BIC ‘17) left her role at the Health & Beauty team at HUNTER to enter a new position as a Public Relations Manager at Visible (powered by Verizon.) Dalis is a past The LAGRANT Foundation scholarship recipient while at BIC.

Taylor Becker BIC '20 took a job as Art Director at HBO's collaborative agency start-up Big Village. Taylor has created content for HBO’s fantasy and geek TV shows, such as the world-famous House of Dragons series!

As of September 2022, BIC ‘15 alum Alex Suazo is now the Director of Performance/Digital Marketing for TOMS. Immediately prior to taking on this role, Alex was at Finn Partners as the Vice President of Digital/Performance Marketing & Media focusing on data-driven strategy, conversion optimization and execution across integrated marketing clients.

Amy Perez BIC ‘22 began her hybrid role as a Marketing Associate at T-REX, a fintech company. Amy works on both project management and strategy of industry events. She is also the point of contact for agency partnerships and sponsorships, manages feedback, website maintenance, updates collateral, and much more.

Also from the BIC Class of 2022, Brionne Burns just accepted an offer at Wieden + Kennedy as an Account Executive working on McDonald’s. Bri reminded us that Wieden + Kennedy was the dream agency she wrote down during Orientation on her first day in the BIC program. Talk about life coming full circle!

Bravo to all our BICsters shining in new roles!
