The Class of 2024 put the pedal to the metal in portfolio workshops all week long.
Each year, BIC cancels class and hosts a weeklong Portfolio Bootcamp, where graduating students get the chance to work intensely on their portfolios with the help of visiting BIC alums and professionals who provide design, content, and storytelling expertise. This year was no exception. BICsters from the BIC Class of 2024 were able to roll up their sleeves and take their portfolios to the next level.
BICsters attended one virtual session with our BIC Alum tutors early in the week. Then, they all met in our Shepard Hall computer lab to implement the recent feedback before the final troubleshooting session on campus on Thursday, with our local NYC alumni checking back in with our BICsters to give them final notes.
Our professional mentors offered invaluable expertise and substantive feedback giving BIC students all the insider tips, tricks, and tools they'll need to perfect their portfolios for what we expect will be standout presentations on Portfolio Thesis Defense day May 21st, 2024.
Thank you to the BIC alums that tutored this year. They truly know how to bring BIC portfolios to life. Joining us was Raymond Sein BIC ‘20, Andy Kwan BIC '16, Paul Bernabe BIC ‘21, Jermine Hodge BIC ‘21,Ari Valero BIC ‘23, Miriam Prever BIC ‘22, Shadiq Williams BIC ‘22, Amy Perez BIC ‘22, Aubrey Downing BIC ‘23, Bella Santana BIC ‘23 and Ken Sheldon BIC ‘16.
In addition, Bella had guest tutors attend from OMD: Michael Miliante, Senior Associate, Integrated Media Planning, Thomas Whittaker, Manager, Digital Activation, Akhil Patel, Associate Director, Joyce Kwon, Associate Manager, and Allyson Arboleda, Digital Planning & Activation Manager.
A Big BIC thank you to all our BICsters for their tenacity, perseverance, and dedication to developing their portfolios. We can't wait to see the work you defend in May. Bring it on, BICsters.
