Spring Capstone Helps Launch New Breakthrough Brand UN(THINK)

By BIC CCNY Posted on 03/01/2023 15:07

2nd year BICsters meet their Corporate Capstone client: UN(THINK)

On February 2nd, this year’s Corporate Capstone client UN(THINK) came to campus with a challenge: how do you disrupt the norms and accelerate change with a food as basic as flour?  By using a breakthrough technology that turbocharges four into a high protein, high fiber food, UN(THINK) believes its Power Flour could be the next food phenomena like Beyond Meat. And BIC faculty member, CMO and General Manager at UN(THINK) Hernando Ruiz-Jimenez believes that BICsters in the Class of 2023 can help.
UN(THINK) is a newly created subsidiary of AgriFORCE that is focused on bringing to market what they’re calling the food of the future: starting with its first consumer product, a patent pending 100% natural wheat called Power Flour. It offers 30x the fiber, 3x the proteins and 70% less carbs than conventional flour. Basically, it's the Beyond Burger of flour.

UN(THINK) Foods believes that “Healthy Should Taste Like Happy Feels!” They aim to be the home of healthy appetites and adventurous spirits. Our BICsters have a unique challenge this semester in creating a launch campaign for this brand new product.

Each Spring semester, the BIC Corporate Capstone is led by BIC Professor and Program Director Nancy R. Tag who divides students into separate communications teams to fulfill the brief of a corporate client. BIC alum Javier Garcia ‘15 will join Nancy for four sessions at the end of the semester as students polish their final pitches. Past corporate capstone clients have been Univision, Universal Music Group, Baileys, Wells Fargo, and Heineken.

We can’t wait to see what the Class of 2023 pitches to them as their FINAL capstone presentation!
